Mr. Galliano has done it again... He has managed to create a beautiful collection, packed with vivid color, beautiful details and classic Dior silhouettes. Although it wasn't nowhere near the avant-garde that we have come to expect from a Dior Couture show, given the state of the world at the moment, I think it was extremely appropriate. John Galliano was inspired by photographs from the past of Monsieur Dior dressing mannequins, hence the half dressed models on the runway. I myself love the emphasis on the female form, indicated in the waist/hip ratio, bustier details, garters, lace and silk tulle slips. As for the accessories they too did not disappoint. I particular love the extravagant hats, oversized pearls, waist ascents and lingerie details on the footwear. Below are a few of my favorite looks from the show...
To John Galliano for always being such an inspiration...
Merci!!!
