Sea (or tree) of Shoes...
Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes has done it again with her new holiday collection for Urban Outfitters. While once again I am not overwhelmed... I will have to say I found the below oxford style wedge very enticing.
Available for $128 at Urban Outfitters, I know these shoes are not for everyone, but as for me it was love at first sight. Below is a quick little outfit I put together inspired by the shoes themselves. Perfect for a crisp weekend day!

Tis' The Season To Knit
Friday evening I started crocheting again... (I can both knit & crochet but lately I prefer the one needle approach). I wish I was better at it so I could make things like this & this, but for now its square and rectangular projects for me. This year I think I would like to make a nice throw for my bedroom.
What's Cookin' Good Lookin' ?
Lately I have really been enjoying a nice home cooked meal. Actually I have always enjoyed one but I guess what has changed is that its actually ME doing the cooking. With my new found hobby comes a new found wish-list filled with kitchen supplies, aprons and cookbooks galore. While in North Carolina this past week I made a little stop at Anthro and came across The Illustrated Kitchen Bible, which I HAD to have. Give me anything with good visuals and I'm sold! With over 1,000 pictures of every recipe featured you can actually visualize what it is that you are about to make as apposed to just hoping it comes out the way its supposed to look.
The first would be great for any good Martha Stewart in training, but the second is a must! The Illustrated Quick Cookbook featured below specializing in quick, after work cheap eats will be in heavy rotation in my place. I didn't purchase either of the books just yet, as I had to fly back to NYC and they were rather heavy, but I have requested both for my birthday (fingers crossed I get them).

Halloween 09: Little Toy Soldier
(click above for details on the items featured)
Well its that time of year again when girls dress a little less but don't get judge for it (lol) ... All hallows eve or better known as Halloween. For the past couple of weeks I was planning on going as Wonder Woman... but then today I decided a toy soldier would be much more original and way cuter! Plus I came across these super cute leg warmers that I HAD to have:
So I have decided how easy would it be to pull this together? A red cardigan, navy scarf or fleece fabric trimmed with bold buttons and chains, gold fringe on the shoulders, white bustier with red ribbon trim and navy pleated skirt. All paired with the super cute leg warmers and black patent pumps... (the Louboutin's featured above are but a dream but something similar will work). I also though white gloves would be cute trimmed with navy cuffs, buttons and ruffles. That way if I get a little warm I can take the cardigan off but my costume will still be cute.
Tomorrow I'm hitting the streets of Manhattan to find the necessary elements for my costume. I created the above collage to keep me focused. Wish me luck!

Sunday Morning Bloom's 10/18/09
WOW! It has been awhile... I feel like I'm starting to sound like a broken record. Hello everyone, long time no see! =) For all of you that come here daily anticipating new updates, I thank you for being patient and I thank you even more for being a reader of my little blog. It means more to me that you will ever know! Last week was our Spring 10 photo shoot (at my day job), which means long days turning into even longer nights, leaving very little room for blogging. However, tomorrow is always another day... and today just so happens to be Sunday (my favorite day of the week)! So here I am back and ready to share with the world the things that make my heart skip a beat.
Happy Sunday my darlings!
xoxo,
Fallon

San Diego, California
Photos from my trip to San Diego, California a few weeks back, for work of course... but at least I made it to the beach. And in case you have never been no trip to California is complete without a stop at In-N-Out Burger! Seriously, being from California myself I know how amazing it really is and personally think everyone should have the chance to experience it.

BK Flea Top Five 9/19/09
Wow have I gotten behind on my BK Flea post!!! In case you didn't notice might I point out that this post is from a trip to the flea over two weeks ago! But how does the saying go? Better late than never?! That's it! At the end of the day its the top five picks that really count, not what day they're posted. Whatever the case I'm sticking with that theory... better late than never!
So moving along, thanks for not getting to upset with me for not posting for a while. Below are my top 5 picks from Sept. 19th.
Enjoy!
Food from the Flea...

Dream Job (one of many...)
I seriously think working as an assistant buyer for Keith Johnson would be absolutely perfect for me. Who is Keith Johnson might you ask... well he is the buyer-at-large for Anthropologie. His main duties include traveling the world searching for unique, amazing, flea market finds; keeping in mind the Anthropologie aesthetic. He even gets to work closer with artist from all over the world, creating one of a kind original works of art. Ahhhh-mazing!!! I mean I would kill just for a chance to spend a summer with him! Maybe we can work out some kind of internship thingy or something... I mean I would do it for free, just for the experience!
Well until that day comes at least I can sorta travel along with Keith as he searches the world... and so can you. Starting Oct. 7th on the Sundance channel you can join him on his worldwide treasure hunt in the new series Man Shops Globe. Check out the website for mini webisodes to hold you over until the big premier.
Below is the promo: (how exciting!!!)
Great idea Sundance! With The Day Before and now this... I'm subscribing to your channel A-SAP!
